Our client, a global provider of digital marketing software, are looking to recruit a Senior Application Support Engineer to join their ever-growing Newcastle based team.

Skills & Experience:

  • Knowledge of REST Web API’s
  • MVC knowledge and experience
  • Ability to navigate a UNIX shell
  • Version Control Software (Git)
  • Object Orientated PHP
  • MySQL
  • HTML5/CSS3/JS/jQuery

Role & Responsibilities:

  • Take the lead in technical decisions and solutions by being a subject matter specialist
  • Ensure incoming tickets use the tiered approach within App Support team
  • Support and represent the Application Support Team in a professional manner
  • Proactively seek out alternative solutions to complex problems
  • Investigate complex issues and determine appropriate action to take
  • Prioritise tickets by SLA’s or business objectives with the aim of resolving before contractual solve date or business committed date
  • Continuously review assigned tickets for weekly updates, correctly classified and correctly owned
  • Resolving tickets as quickly as possible following Application Support resolution methods
  • Have an involvement in the interviewing, testing and selection of Application Support Engineers
  • Analyse technical processes to identify automation opportunities that support the business and reduce overheads
