Our client is a unique organisation based in County Durham who are looking for an experienced Senior Communications Officer to join their team.

As Senior Communications Officer, you should be hard working, flexible, organised and experienced in communications including having dealt with Media and Social Media.

Role & Responsibilities:

  • Follow up on social media queries and comments.
  • Manage website contents.
  • Monitor media coverage, liaise with media and prepare press releases as required.
  • Prepare media briefings.
  • Proactive and re-active communications with all media.
  • Ensure records are kept and information managed confidentially and in line with policies and procedures.

Skills & Experience:

  • Experience of handling media and press enquiries.
  • Proven track record of delivering a communications strategy, including social media.
  • Experience of social media management and analytics tools.
  • Experience of creating content for use across social media and in campaigns.
  • Experience of creating content for websites and writing e-newsletters.
  • Experience of working in a busy office environment.
