Salary: Up to £28k

Our client, a successful IT organisation based in Gateshead, are looking for a dedicated Technical Support candidate to join their team.

As Technical Support, you will work with a wide range of small and large customers, working on a variety of IT projects on a day to day basis.

Skills & Experience:

  • Experience using Microsoft Windows server & client operating systems.
  • Understanding of Microsoft Exchange, Office 365 and Microsoft Office.
  • Experience in server virtualisation (VMware, Hyper-V etc).
  • Experience working with Network Attached Storage (NAS).
  • Knowledge of TCP/IP and associated technologies (DNS, WINS, DHCP).
  • Basic understanding of Firewalls including NAT and Firewall Rules.
  • Knowledge of anti-virus, anti-spyware and anti-spam.
  • Experience of the following would be beneficial: Small Business Server, Storage Area Networks, Telephony including Voice-over-IP (VoIP), Remote Desktop Services and Cloud Services.

Role & Responsibilities:

  • IT support for a range of clients.
  • Assist with the management, upkeep and enhancement of internal systems.
  • Work from the office and onsite with customers when necessary.
  • Produce quotations for IT projects.
  • Continually improve knowledge of IT systems in use.
